Tanzania’s no nonsense President Magafuli dies.

 In a continent where leaders with integrity are in very short supply, a well-loved President John Magafuli is dead.

President Magafuli died from heart complications in Dar Es Salaam, the country’s capital. 


The death of Magafuli who was  incommunicado for two weeks following the rumor of his Covid-related attack was announced on Thursday by the state television.


Magafuli has been replaced by the former Vice President, Dr Samia Suluhu who is now the first female President in the country.
