Bola Tinubu’s Road To Perdition: by Kola Ola Olaniran

What we have today is HausaFulani Republic masquerading as the Federal Republic of Nigeria where other regions are run like conquered colonies.

Years ago, a self-acclaimed custodian of the Hausa Fulani hegemonic agenda stormed the Agodi Government House Ibadan uninvited. This unruly and not so composed Mohammadu Buhari was livid with anger as he unleashed his brazen effrontery to ask Governor Lam Adesina, “why are your people killing my people?” instead of, “why are Nigerians killing their fellow Nigerians? It took a well-composed Governor Adesina diplomatic wisdom to calm Buhari’s frayed nerves down over his crude way of addressing the clash between herdsmen and farmers in Oke Ogun area of Oyo State at that time.

Can Bola Tinubu, a self-acclaimed asiwaju of Yoruba$land invoke the same audacity to ask Mohammadu Buhari, “Are we running a Banana Republic, “why are all key federal appointments given to only your people?” “What is this rubbish going on especially with the internalization of this Hausa Fulani RUGA ideology”?

In fairness to Buhari, he carries his Hausa Fulani leaders along, unlike Tinubu who has never had a reasonable dialogue with leaders of his own Yoruba nation. With ease, Buhari assembled a small member cabal not only to decide the fate of his 7 million Hausa Fulani people but the entire 205 million Nigerians (including 60 million Yoruba people).  This cabal must have fooled Tinubu, a comedic gatekeeper in their fools’ paradise with a promise of automatic coronation as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023 as long as he dances to their whims and caprices. Bola Tinubu would later give his nod to every decision of the cabal whether favorable or capable of jeopardizing the interests of his Yoruba people. With a macabre dance, an elated Tinubu jumps to serenade his slave masters on any decision taken to humiliate his fellow Yoruba man out of office.

With Tinubu’s silence, Dr Muiz Banire, an intellectually formidable, tested and trusted, hardworking Senior Advocate of Nigeria with impressive and intimidating credentials was in London when he read on the internet the news of his unceremonious removal as Chairman of the AMCON. Without any genuine reason, this assets manager suddenly became a liability to those whose blurred vision requires a flashlight on a bright sunny day. So was Babatunde Fowler chairman of the FIRS removed via executive gangsterism supervised by the late Abba Kyari who usurped the authority of the President. The same Kyari humiliated a sitting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo by taking a bill to London for Buhari to sign when Osinbajo who presumably in the acting capacity as president could have signed the bill. This humiliation of Osinbajo is a direct assault on the sensibilities of the entire Yoruba race.

With these few examples, Bola Tinubu has not deemed it fit to mend fence with leaders and people of Yorubaland he wants to rule over, he believes he has enough wealth to ride roughshod on the people forgetting that he that rejects the garment of honor will wear the mask of disgrace.

That he was promised presidency on a platter of gold is not a cause for celebration as the current wave of events has changed the dynamics of how his 2023 political pendulum will swing, eyes are opening, people are waking up from their slumber, Nigerians especially the youths have been pushed beyond the threshold of human endurance, they’re fighting back at an unprecedented scale never witnessed in the history of Nigeria. They want revolution and they want it now, they want to take back their country and they want it now. With their numerical strength, it’s now pretty clear that the power of the people is stronger than the people in power.

MC Oluomo, the chief operator of Bola Tinubu’s instrument of hostility and hooliganism in Lagos is seeking retirement from the business that will not earn him a good legacy after life. Oluomo wants to be seen to be on the side of the people. He has amassed enough wealth to assert himself. Oluomo and his agents were nowhere to be found when the palace of Akiolu the Oba of Lagos was invaded, ransacked and turned upside down, his staff of office became an object of scorn being dragged by a common man on the streets. Akiolu has been chased out of the palace, his whereabouts unknown. I pray he has not been drowned in the lagoon where he vowed to drown those who refused to vote for ex governor Akinwumi Ambode in the 2015 gubernatorial election. Unfortunately Bola Tinubu himself is helpless to help the Oba.

You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus. Tinubu’s imagination to be president is completely out of focus, it’s a woefully misconceived fantasy that should never come to fruition. Bola Tinubu is not seeking power to improve the welfare of the people but to further feather the nest of his narcissism but the new Nigerian order will not tolerate that. The time to be fooling the people is over as any slightest  misstep will send him into political oblivion.
