“Just Shut Up”, Angry Nigerians Blast Buhari’s Daughter by Kola Olaniran

Hanan and Buhari

The palpable anger in Nigeria reached its highest crescendo when Nigerian Twitter users unleashed the worst form of vulgar abuses on Hanan Buhari.

The Afro beat king Fela Kuti’s song “when trouble sleeps, yanga go wake am up” reverberates this week when the attention-seeking, beautiful Hanan, daughter of Nigeria’s outgoing, worst President Muhammadu Buhari got a dose more than she bargained for when she took to her IG account to rate her father’s performance in office.

In her account she wrote, “My father is a silent achiever”

This statement did not go down well with Nigerian youths mostly of Hanan’s age who are suffering the excruciating economic hardship under Buhari’s mismanagement of the Nigerian economy.

In my personal opinion, Muhammadu Buhari deserves condemnation not commendation because under his regime, life has been nasty, brutish and short as most Nigerians suffer the worst hardship in the history of the country.

Under Buhari’s regime, over 70,000 Nigerians lost their lives due to his cavalier attitude towards solving the problems of insecurity, unemployment and hunger.

With 33% unemployment rate, Nigeria became the poverty capital of the world.
