Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter Is Dead

The United States former First Lady, Rosalynn Carter, wife of President Jimmy Carter is dead. 


She died on Sunday at the age of 96.


Eleanor Rosalynn Carter was born in August 18, 1927 in Plains, GA and got married to her husband Jimmy in 1946.


A mental health activist, Rosalynn served as First Lady from 1976 to 1980 and became a public advocate for humanitarian cause.


In May 2023, she was diagnosed with dementia and entered the hospice 2 days before she passed on Sunday in Plains GA.


She will be remembered for the good legacies she bequeathed in mental health reforms, humanitarian cause, loyalty, fidelity and family values.
