President Buhari And The Battle For Nigeria by DELE MOMODU

Fellow Nigerians, let’s call a spade a spade, and not by any other name today. I’m seriously perturbed that while our dear President is indisposed, for now, some of his so-called friends are only interested in consolidating themselves in power. I think President Muhammadu Buhari deserves better than this. Hate him or love him, President Buhari remains one of the most honest Nigerians alive today. Not even his worst enemy would accuse him of being a corrupt leader. As a prominent Nigerian businessman once told us: “I can’t imagine anyone discussing deals with President Buhari… The atmosphere would not be conducive…” We all concur to that. I’m of the opinion that it is not Buhari’s fault that he has health challenges. All mortals are prone to sicknesses. No President is immune from it, simply by virtue of his occupation of that position. Even if he has not divulged his exact ailment, he’s been honest enough to tell us that he’s never been this sick before. That is honesty and humility...

In-Laws Pounced On A Wife Beater by Kola Olaniran

In-Laws Pounced On A Wife Beater. By Kola Olaniran The days of beating one's wife and getting away with it seem to be coming to an end. If you're one of those who delight in beating their wives, you may not find this story funny. Far away in India, a husband beat his wife black and blue, leaving her with a swollen eye. This action triggered the anger of the wife's family members who organized an irate mob to visit their wrathful reprisal on the irresponsible husband. I'm sure by the time they're done with him, he must have promised himself that till the rest of his life, he will never raise his hand on a fly talk less of his wife. Watch the video here:

Wealth Generation: How To Be Rich by Kola Olaniran

Wealth Generation: How To Be Rich. By Kola Olaniran 🔻🔻🔻 If you are a big spender of money, shopaholic but not workaholic, you're treading on the path of poverty. Wealth generation  begins with being satisfied with what you have and looking forward to acquiring responsibly more possessions from future incomes.  SATISFACTION: Most people have enough clothes and shoes 👠 but they have made it a habit (a very bad one) that each time they get salaries or earn income, a certain percentage must go into purchasing designer's outfits with all the name brands. Most people have been stuck in the cocoon of "One Life To Live" cliche. 🔻You can not be earning a low income salary and be living a middle class lifestyle.🔻 You must face the realities of self-delusion when you're a low income person and you're trying to impress a middle income person so as to place you on the same class. Be satisfied with what you have. Think of how to lift yourself and other people up...

Firing Squad For 10 Naira Theft by K. Olaniran

Image
Unlike many Nigerian government officials who steal money in billions, the arms of the law caught up with a Nigerian notorious robber who met his waterloo for stealing, guess how much? 10 Naira!!! In Nigeria, those who commit picayune crime of petty thefts get harsher punishments than those who steal big. Isiaka Buhari popularly known as 'Might Joe who terrorized the neighbourhood in Mushin, Lagos State, Nigeria was arrested for stealing 10 Naira from one Mr Osayunana a hotel bar attendant in the early '70s. He was thereafter led to the bar beach where he was tied to the pole and silenced by bullets. Public officials are stealing money in billions today and no one has deemed it fit to recommend life sentence or death penalty to serve as a deterrent to other would-be killers of our economy.

Dasuki Me, God Will Dasuki You by Kola Ola Olaniran

These days, being at the right place and at the right time may not just be enough but using the right public relations stunt may seal the deal. Three beggars went to a popular street of Lagos to solicit for alms. Two of the three beggars had arrived five hours earlier with their paraphernalia of office: a small mat, a small tent and 2 small plates in their hands. They used the same plates for two purposes, to collect alms and to buy foods. When these two beggars arrived at the spot at 10.00 a.m. they spread the tent and the mat and the business of the day began. Three hours later, they barely made money that could buy them lunch as people were giving them only their chicken changes. Their method of begging was, "please bless me and God will bless you ten folds" Five hours later, the third beggar arrived at the same spot with a big basket in his hand. He had no tent to shield himself from the scorching sun nor the mat to sit on. He went straight to his two professio...

She had everything at her beck and call. Because of her, men had become neck twisters and neck breakers. If she passed by you, you would want to twist your neck to take a look at her again and again.  Someone once put her beauty in alphabetical order of adorable, beautiful, colorful, delectable, elegant, flamboyant, glamorous and gorgeous.....zestful.  She was given the juiciest appointment of petroleum Minister in the former government of ex president Goodluck Jonathan and she was alleged to have stolen about 9 billion US Dollars which means if her ...
